SEARCHING FOR INSPIRATION

You are building or renovating your bathroom and you are stuck for ideas, where are the best places to go for some design inspiration?

Bathroom Showrooms – This is probably the most obvious, however many showrooms are limited for space and may not have full bathroom displays, so if you are like many others out there and are not really good at picturing what the items will look like in a completed bathroom, then there are several other great options to gather ideas.

Builder’s Display Homes – New home builders will generally have a display home available for you to browse through and gather ideas. This is a fantastic option as you will normally find a few display homes together in a display village.

Open Homes – Keep your eye out for any open homes in your area, particularly for homes that are the same style as your own, If you have an older style home and are looking to create a more modern style bathroom then you will be able to get a good idea of what works and what doesn’t.

Your Friend’s Homes – Look at the bathrooms of your friends and relatives, talk to them about what works well and the things they would change.

Bathroom Magazines – There are many publications on the market showcasing the latest trends for bathrooms, although these are great to get a concept of colours, styles etc, it’s worth your while to check out a couple of the places listed above first to give yourself perspective on room sizes and layout.

Real Estate Websites – There are 1000’s of properties listed on real estate websites all with images of the bathrooms, again you will be able to search for homes similar to your style and see what they have done and what works well.

Other Websites – There are countless websites on the subject of bathroom design. You can even search the web for images only which will make the search a whole lot easier. Just bear in mind the size of the room, and make sure you keep this in perspective. Images are great for colours, styles etc but when it comes to the layout and size of the bathroom nothing beats actually standing in one to see how it fits.
