SEMI-RECESSED FREESTANDING VANITY UNIT - SOLID SURFACE with LEGS

A semi-recessed free standing vanity unit with a solid surface top and legs has a solid slab benchtop with a separate basin on a narrow depth, full height cabinet.

Semi-recessed vanity units are ideally used in smaller bathrooms where space is a premium.

The narrow depth cabinet takes up much less floor space while still providing adequate storage space. The bowl of the basin extends past the front of the cabinet to provide a full size bowl.

The cabinet is raised off the floor by chrome legs which creates the look more of a piece of furniture.

Having the cabinet set on legs will also help to minimize the risk of damage by water getting to the bottom of the cabinet.

WASTE TRAP CONSIDERATIONS
  • Free standing vanity units with kick are suitable for an S Trap or P Trap installation.
  • When choosing the vanity unit, note where the waste outlet is located in the bathroom to avoid any issues arising when connecting the waste.
  • The main problems will be choosing a cabinet where the drawer bank is positioned over the waste outlet, or the depth of the cabinet is too narrow and doesn’t cover the existing waste.
