FREESTANDING VANITY UNIT – MOULDED TOP with LEGS

A free standing vanity unit with moulded top and legs has a 1 piece moulded benchtop with a full depth and full height cabinet for maximum storage space.

The cabinet is raised off the floor by chrome legs which creates the look more of a piece of furniture than a fixture.

Having the cabinet set on legs will also help to minimize the risk of damage by water getting to the bottom of the cabinet.

  • The moulded top can be made of Ceramic (vitreous china), Polymarble, Glass, Stone or acrylic.
  • The bowl is seamlessly integrated into the benchtop, creating an easy clean, hygienic benchtop.
  • The moulded top, depending on the length of the cabinet, may have single or double bowls.
  • Moulded tops are available with 1, 3 or no tapholes, depending on the type of tapware used.
  • In most cases, the bowl will be positioned in the centre of the benchtop, however some will be available with the bowl to the left or right side allowing more benchspace.

WASTE TRAP CONSIDERATIONS
  • Free standing vanity units with legs are suitable for an S Trap or P Trap installation.
  • When choosing the vanity unit, note where the waste outlet is located in the bathroom to avoid any issues arising when connecting the waste.
  • The main problems will be choosing a cabinet where the drawer bank is positioned over the waste outlet, or the depth of the cabinet is too narrow and doesn’t cover the existing waste.
