Composite Material Basins

Composite materials are a man-made material produced by the mixing of a powdered stone with a resin to form a durable heat, stain and scratch resistant product.

The powdered stone and resin combine together to give the composite material unique properties of increased strength, rigidity, durability and lighter weight.

They also provide design flexibility by being able to be moulded into more complex shapes.

Composite materials are commonly made with marble, granite, slate, travertine and sandstone.

BENEFITS OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS
• Increase strength and rigidity
• More stain and heat resistant then natural stone
• Can be moulded into more complex shapes

CARING FOR COMPOSITE MATERIALS
• Wash with warm, mild soapy water. Never use ammonia or drain cleaners.
• Wipe regularly after use with a soft cloth to reduce the build up of soap scum and mineral scale.
• Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, they will scratch and dull the surface.
