Ceramic Basins

Ceramic basins, also known as Vitreous china or porcelain is the most commonly used material in the production of bathroom sanitaryware products such as toilets, basins and sinks.

The ceramic material is glazed with a powdered glass (enamel) and then fired at an extremely high temperature. The intense heat liquifies the glass glaze, it is then allowed to cool.

The result is a high gloss finish with an extremely non-porous (low absorption), stain resistant coating.

The low absorption coating is perfect for stopping the penetration of the high levels of bacteria found in a bathroom.

BENEFITS OF VITREOUS CHINA
• High Gloss finish.
• Extremely Non-porous.
• Stain resistant.
• Resistant to bacterial penetration.

CARING FOR VITREOUS CHINA
• Use only a mild cleaner to clean vitreous china and to maintain its glossy finish.
• For heavy duty cleaning, use a general purpose cleaner.
• Never use an abrasive cleaner or solvent, this will scratch and damage the basins surface
